Absolutely anything!  Amazing ‘3D’ like effects can be created or simple signage.  Photographic like images can be produces with stunning effect. If wall space is also being utilised for graphics then the floor can merge into the wall i.e. one image from floor to ceiling! Who do I contact with regards to ordering CarpetGraphics™? Top of Page

At present, the only registered CarpetGraphics™ producer is Dark Blue (UK) Ltd. in Cardiff, Wales UK.  Within the near future, registered CarpetGraphics™ producers and agents will be available globally.

What size are the tiles and Mats ? Top of Page

CarpetGraphics™ tiles are available in two sizes depending on the geographical location of the end user.  US size is 18” x 18” (imperial) and the European size is 500mm x 500mm.  There will be instances where the European size is required in the US and vice versa. 

Mat sizes are 2’x3’ and 3’x4’. Bespoke orders can be taken providing there is a suitable quantity and that the size is compatible with the print process.

Is there a minimum order quantity? Top of Page

No.  Images can be ordered from a minimum of one tile to 100,000 tiles of the same image.  This also applies to the promotional mats.  Set-up charges will vary.

Typical order quantity lead times? Top of Page

Modular tiles and mat material will be stocked in the UK as well as the United States.  If either of these locations should be out of stock normal lead-time will be four to six weeks.  Minimum order quantities may apply.

With regards to print the approximate lead times from a bureau perspective are as follows (based on the supply of one image per tile or mat):

1-50:  Seven to ten working days.

1-100:  Ten to fourteen working days.

100-500:  Up to twenty-eight working days.

500 plus:  Allow up to six weeks delivery.

What is the maximum area I can Top of Page cover with one Image?

Any size!  From one small exhibition unit to the a whole stadium!  The image is simply broken down into small sections and tiled together.  Where large images are printed, tiles will be numbered on the back to allow for smooth and quick fitting.

How do I present my artwork for Top of Page print?What format do I need to save files in?

Images are created for CarpetGraphics™ using standard Apple Macintosh graphics packages.  Please supply files saved as EPS or Tiff.  Images should be created to a size which is in proportion of the final area. Scans should be 70 to 100 dpi at full size.

Can I supply images on ‘hard copy’Top of Page i.e. artwork?

It is recommended that a colour proof say from a desktop inkjet printer of the image is supplied at all times to enable accurate colour matching, however where possible images must be supplied on digitally.

Can images over large areas be Top of Page registered accurately?

Yes, Dark Blue has a Patented registration technique that has been specifically researched for CarpetGraphics™ 

Can specific logo/spot colours be Top of Page matched accurately?

As with the majority of digital processes colours can be matched to a high degree of accuracy. If colour accuracy is an issue for a particular job -we'll take time to match a closely as possible given the process.

Logo’s and Images Top of Page

To make full use of CarpetGraphics™, full photographic-like images should be utilised.  There is no reduction in price whether photographic-like images or one colour corporate logo’s are utilised.  To gain the full potential of the product, maximum effect is achieved using photo montage techniques over large areas or product shots on mats and small tiled areas.  Logo’s should still be incorporated for maximum impact.

How do I fit/install CarpetGraphics™ Top of Page tiles and mats?

Where modular tiles are to be inlaid into existing carpeted areas a professional floor covering contractor should be employed.  When used over hard surface materials mats should be employed as the product of choice.

How long do CarpetGraphics™ Top of Page images last?

CarpetGraphics™ tiles and mats are designed as display and point of purchase materials that would have a life expectancy that is consistent with such material.  The printed images should last for a period not to exceed six months when used as a floor covering material and up to one year in non traffic areas under normal UV conditions.  

How do I clean CarpetGraphics™ Top of Page mats and modular tile?

CarpetGraphics™ mats and tile should be vacuumed and spot cleaned daily if used as a floor covering product in traffic areas.  Warm water extraction methods should be used when soiling is excessive and cannot be removed with vacuuming.  Chemicals and detergents should only be used for spot cleaning or as a pre-spray.  They should never be included in the extraction bath. 

What's special about the carpet? Top of Page

A high quality carpet substrate has been developed specifically for imaging. The carpet tiles have a low-tack reposition able adhesive on the underside for easy and secure fitting. The carpet yarn allows for vibrant colours with over 30% penetration.

Are there any warranties with Top of Page CarpetGraphics™?

There are no warranties associated with CarpetGraphics™ printed images.  The soft surface print base is warranted against manufacturing defects to the print provider.  To the end user, there is a limited warranted against edge ravel, zippering, excessive surface wear, delaminating and loss of backing resiliency. 

How do I benefit with regards to Top of Page technical expertise and support?

Dark Blue are able to offer full technical support and market expertise to those companies wishing to produce carpet graphics.  Dark Blue have developed and are updating the CarpetGraphics™ website which will eventually contain a secure section to enable registered carpet graphics manufacturers to access technical data.

What happens to the area where Top of Page CarpetGraphics™ tile or mats have been inlaid once I decide to remove them?

If the old floor covering material that was removed has been kept, it can be placed back into the area.  For repeat orders, providing the size does not increase or decrease, it is simply a matter of removing the old and applying the new.

What if I wish to use carpet flooring Top of Page to surround my CarpetGraphics™ display?

Dark Blue can supply a broad base of products that are suitable for most applications.  However, if you cannot find a suitable product within the standard product offering then custom products can be manufactured to meet aesthetic requirements.  If you require assistance or would like to have a representative call on you then please refer to the contact above.
