What images can I put onto carpet ? What size are the tiles and Mats or rugs ? Is there a minimum order quantity ? Typical order quantity lead times ? What is the maximum area I can cover with one image ? How do I present my artwork for print and what format do I need to save files in ? Can I supply images on ‘hard copy’ i.e. artwork ? Can images over large areas be registered accurately ? Can specific logo/spot colours be matched accurately ? How do I fit/install CarpetGraphics tiles and mats ? How long do CarpetGraphics images last ? How do I clean CarpetGraphics mats and modular tile ? What's special about the carpet ? Are CarpetGraphics tile or mats Fire Resistant ? What images can I put onto carpet ?Absolutely anything! Amazing ‘3D’ like effects can be created or simple signage. Photographic images can be produces with stunning effect. If wall space is also being utilised for graphics then the floor can merge into the wall i.e. one image from floor to ceiling! Please check out our Gallery to see what's been created with CarpetGraphics to date. What size are the tiles and Mats ?CarpetGraphics tiles are available as European standard 500mm x 500mm size. Is there a minimum order quantity ?No. Images can be ordered from a minimum of one tile or mat to thousands of the same image. Set-up charges will vary. Typical order quantity lead times ?All orders will be processed and scheduled as follows: What is the maximum area I can cover with one Image ?Any size ! From one small exhibition unit to the a whole stadium ! The image is simply broken down into small sections and tiled together. Where large images are printed, tiles will be numbered on the back to allow for smooth and quick fitting. How do I present my artwork for print ? What format do I need to save files in ?Images are created for CarpetGraphics using standard design and graphics packages. Please supply files saved as EPS, JPG or Tiff. Images should be created to a size which is in proportion of the final area. Scans should be 70 to 100 dpi at full size. Can I FTP artwork & images ?Yes. Images can be sent via FTP to Dark Blue Can I supply images on ‘hard copy’ i.e. artwork ?It is recommended that a colour proof of the image is supplied at all times to enable accurate colour matching, however where possible images must be supplied digitally. Can images over large areas be registered accurately ?Yes, Dark Blue has a Patented registration technique that has been specifically researched for CarpetGraphics Can specific logos and spot colours be matched accurately ?As with the majority of digital processes colours can be matched to a high degree of accuracy. If colour accuracy is an issue for a particular job - we'll take time to match it as closely as possible given the process. Logo’s and ImagesTo make full use of CarpetGraphics, full photographic-like images should be utilised. There is no reduction in price whether photographic-like images or one colour corporate logo’s are utilised. To gain the full potential of the product, maximum effect is achieved using photo montage techniques over large areas or product shots on mats and small tiled areas. Logo’s should still be incorporated for maximum impact. How do I fit or install CarpetGraphics tiles and mats ?Tiles can be dropped into place into existing carpet tiled areas. Where tiles are to be inlaid into existing carpeted areas a professional floor covering contractor should be employed. When used over hard surface materials mats should be employed as the product of choice, although borders are available for larger areas of overlaid tiled areas. How long do CarpetGraphics images last ?CarpetGraphics tiles and mats are susceptible to fading from UV the same as a traditional carpet and textiles. The images are integrated into the material and will wear naturally as the product wears. Image life is therefore dependant on the amount of traffic that the product is subjected too. How do I clean CarpetGraphics mats and tiles ?CarpetGraphics mats and tile should be vacuumed and spot cleaned daily if used as a floor covering product in traffic areas. Warm water extraction methods should be used when soiling is excessive and cannot be removed with vacuuming. Chemicals and detergents should only be used for spot cleaning or as a pre-spray. They should never be included in the extraction bath. CarpetGraphics rubber-backed mats are fully launderable. What's special about the carpet ?A high quality carpet substrate has been developed specifically for imaging. The carpet tiles have a low-tack repositionable adhesive on the underside for easy and secure fitting. The carpet yarn allows for vibrant colours with over 30% penetration. What happens to the area where CarpetGraphics tiles or mats have been inlaid once I decide to remove them ?If the old floor covering material that was removed has been kept, it can be placed back into the area. For repeat orders, providing the size does not increase or decrease, it is simply a matter of removing the old and applying the new. Are CarpetGraphics tiles or mats Fire Resistant ?Yes both the mats and the tiles and have been tested and have passed the BS4790 fire regulations. This makes them suitable for all areas including the airports. |
